I’m going to keep updating this list for my own use over time, so the admonition below doesn’t really apply anymore (at least until next Christmas/birthday rolls around). If for some strange reason you want to buy something here for me, I’d avoid things marked with an asterix - it usually means I want to check something out before I decide.
