How to Make the Rules

How to Make the Rules - Check the last one, it’s my favorite.

Property Prof: Well, what is the principle that Marshall has extracted from Johnson?
Student: That when white people agree on something, it’s the rule.

For reference, this is from Johnson v. M’Intosh. 21 U.S. 543 (1823), the Supreme Court case that said (more or less): The United States government owns all the land in the country (by purchase and/or conquest), treaties made for land with native peoples don’t count.
