The whys and wherefores of Friendster v. MySpace - Danah Boyd’s analysis of success and failure in the social networking space. Personally, I wish tend to think of my website as my online identity, and I wish it were easier to plug it in to sites like MySpace and Friendster. Of course, that means I lose out on the pseudonymity that draws many people to them.
