Interview with EFF’s Fred von Lohmann on YouTube, Copyright, Google, and More - not exactly cutting edge right now, but there’s an interesting suggestion that one of the motivations for buying Youtube might have been to establish legal precedent favorable to Google. Nifty idea.

Google Stops Storing Personal Data in China - Google is storing data gathered on Chinese visitors offshore (in the U.S.).  I’ve been critical of Google in the past (mostly offline) , and I remain suspicious of their “Do No Evil” claim, but it’s only fair that I give them props when they do something right.

Google’s AdWords and Vegas Tactics - seems that Google AdWords algorithm isn’t as value-neutral as they claim.
