It appears that some people think it’s all cocaine and caviar for Okkervil River. And it’s not. I’m making a little bit more than I was making at the video store right now.
Hilarious Interview with Ocean’s 13 Cast - there are so many reasons I would think I’d hate this. It’s a celebrity piece; it’s in TIME; it’s a promotion for a sequel. And here I am laughing out loud repeatedly. Damn you George Clooney!
Interview: Okkervil River’s Will Sheff - on Cat Stevens, soft-rock misogyny, literary rock, “Outsider Music”, and so on. He also dodges a lot of questions.
I think that using the word “literary†to describe music is about as helpful as using the word “musical†to describe literature. It doesn’t say a hell of a lot.
Quite Shockingly, the Guy Behind Girls Gone Wild Is An Ass - there’s some great (awful) stuff in here. Be sure to note the response from his lawyer with respect to an alleged rape. Super-classy.
